Brother of BJP’s former Minister and MLA Basholi, Choudhary Lal Singh, who stepdown after BJP high command’s intervention, has been booked by state police for his derogatory and abusive remarks against Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, in video that went viral on social media.
A case under section 509 RPC and relevant sections of IT Act has been registered in Police Station Hirnagar, in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday afternoon. In video that went viral on yesterday, during a rally in Hiranagar, Choudhary Rajinder Singh had abused Mehbooba Mufti while addressing a rally, called by Choudhary brothers who were demanding CBI probe into Rassan Case, in which an eight years old nomad girl, kidnapped, raped and murdered. Although the Supreme Court has already refused to transfer the investigation to CBI, AND proceeding of the case has been shifted Pathankot, from district court Kathua on direction of apex court.
Choudhary Lal Singh former Forest Minister, who along with another Minister, Chander Praksh Ganga, were asked by BJP high command to stepdown from Ministries, following their participation in a rally taken out in support of the accused people in Hiranagar in March this year.
The day, he step down from Ministry, Choudhary Lal Singh launched a crusade demanding CBI probe into the case. Since, then he has conducted more than 20 rallies in various of Jammu division, under the banner of Dogra Swabhiman rally. Meanwhile, the BJP had condemned ‘derogatory language’ used by Rajinder Singh against Mehbooba Mufti.
Swiftly reacting into the matter, BJP’s State General secretary, Ashok Koul said the remarks against CM by our MLA’s bother are highly condemnable. Koul stated that BJP respect women, and the abusive remarks are intolerable at any cost. Koul said that the person who has used vulgar language has no connection with the BJP. The former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has condemned the remarks, in a tweet Omar said that such a language against the Chief Minister was unacceptable and demanded an FIR be lodged against the erring BJP leader’s kin.
PDP Youth leader from Jammu, Vikram Singh strongly objected Rajinder Singh remark, against CM, who also working president of PDP. “We met SSP, Kathua and case has been registered at Hirangar Police Station”, he said and added that we all must have respect women. “Words he (Rajinder Singh) used against the Chief Minister are intolerable, we all are civilized and there is a way of protest”, he said.
Taking strong notice of the abusive language used against the Chief Minister State police has registered against the crusader. According to sources, the state Police Chief, Dr S P Vaid has taken strong cognizance of the act and has lodged the FIR against the former minister’s brother. The DGP, according to sources has personally directed the concerned SSP to lodge an FIR immediately.
