The SC, ST, OBC Organizations including Adhi Dharam Samaj, Majdoor Dastkar Union, Safai Karamchari Union, OBC Mahasangh, and All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organizations held a meeting at Maharishi Valmiki Temple Gandhi Nagar JAMMU and chalk out strategy to support Bharat Band Call of 2 April in protest of Centre Government for not defending SC/ST Atrocities Act 1989. While addressing R K Kalsotra President Confederation of SC, ST and OBC appeal upon the all religious, students and social organizations of SC ST and OBC of Jammu and Kashmir to support and join us in large numbers  for the Bharat Band on 2nd of April at 5 PM in Maharishi Valmiki Temple, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu to Protest March to Ambedkar Chowk, Gandhi Nagar in opposition to the verdict of supreme court on making SC ST atrocities act to be made toothless and ineffective in terms of its deterrent provision and the Govt had not perused their own act in the Supreme Court with a deep seated conspiracy to play with the dignity and human rights of more than 25 percent population of the country at the hands of few casteist forces.

The Supreme Court verdict is in contradiction to already existing Judgement of registration of FIR and it had come at a time when the nation is viewing a large number of incidents in such offences and conviction rates in SC, ST atrocities act is already very less or negligible.
The judgement had come at time when we are viewing atrocities on students in premiums educational institutions and when we have cases like delta Meghwal rape and murder in Rajasthan, Rassana murder case in Jammu and Kashmir, Rohith Vemula in Hyderabad, students of LLB in Allahabad University.
The act on the part of Govt not to defend its own law is a part of the conspiracy to alter the constitution of the country and also is a sign to weaken the affirmative action when it had not been actually implemented in the country in true spirit.
The state Govt of Jammu and Kashmir and Govt of other states of the country had already seen reservations of Promotion act had already ended due to not properly perusing by the Govt in Courts. Others who spoke were Garu Bhatti, Vijay Anary, Rinku Gill, Shashi Syal, Bansi Lal Choudhry, Mohd Shafi, Rangesh Chander and Capt Dev Raj.
