CBSE has changed the pattern in the upcoming NET exam in July. The earlier scheme of exam has been revised. As per the new scheme, the test will include only two papers.
Paper I will consist of 50 compulsory questions carrying 100 marks and Paper II will include 100 questions and will also carry same 200 marks. Thus, now the paper will be of total 300 marks unlike the previous one. The time allotted for the first paper will be one hour from 9:30 to 10:30.The duration for the Paper II will be of two hours, from 11 am to 1 pm on the same day. Paper I will assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate and Paper II will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate.
Moreover, the upper age limit for appearing in JRF has been raised by two years from 28 years to 30 years. The other age relaxations will be same as earlier. The CBSE has also announced the date of exam on 8th July 2018. The online application process will start from March 6th to April 5th, 2018.
