Taking serious note of misuse of official position by the former Director Rural Development Department (RDD) Jammu R K Bhat and his Section Officer (SO), Pritam Chand, government on Wednesday asked Director General RDD Jammu to conduct indepth and fair enquiry into wrong doing of duo.
Responding to complaint against both above mentioned officer/official, the government took immediate steps, Department of Rural Development and Panchyati Raj, J&K Government, asked Director General RDD Jammu that a copy of complaint addressed to Governor J&K, submitted by Harbans Lal , Section Officer/ Office Manager, Office of Assistant Commissioner Development, Samba office regarding misuse of official position by former Director RDD Jammu and immediately rescind all the placement orders of Block Development Officers, who are/were placed/ asked to look after the charge of BDO in gross violation of existing J&K Rural Development (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2003 and from non feeding cadre viz. Section Officers, including the placement of Pritam Chand, section Officer as I/C BDO HQ Poonch ordered vide order number No.Esst/Gnl-771/9849-53 dated 9/6/2018 issued by your office and furnish compliance report to this department with in a period of three days positively, enabling the department to apprise the Governor’s Secretariat accordingly.
It is pertinent to mention here that former Director RDD Jammu R K Bhat, was transferred on June 6, 2018, issued order in large number post his transfer and accumulated huge money. He also adjusted his loyal SO, Pritam Chand, as I/C BDO H/Q Poonch on June 9, 2018, three days after his transfer.
Moreover, three cases against R K Bhat has been registered by State Vigilance Organization in various corruption charges, even his house and office was raided by the antigraft agency recently, it was also learnt that despite his transfer, hi did not join his new place of posting, as was trying get a prize posting by using his connections, but after pressure from General Administration Department, he joined as MD, as his new assignment.
