Seeking immediate registration of FIR against the BJP workers of Ramnagar for hurling filthy abuses and threats of physical elimination to Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP in an official function on behest of the local MLA, Panthers Party today appealed to the Governor, Chief Minister and Speaker Legislative Assembly to take cognizance of the criminal conduct of MLA Ramnagar who was hell bent to vitiate peace in the area by his notoriety and vulgar politics.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu today, Mr. Gagan Pratap Singh State Secretary and Spokesman JKNPP divulged that the MLA Ramnagar Mr. R.S Pathania had organized a public meeting in Nagrota Panj-Grain on 31st Oct, 2017 in which the officers, employees of various Govt Deptts, the students of HS Nagrota Panj-Grain and adjoining schools, the teachers including the CEO Udhampur were directed to participate. He said that the said meeting was addressed by the local MLA R.S Pathania and several other BJP leaders who not only propagated the political philosophy of their party but went hammer and tongs against the Panthers Party and hurled choicest of abuses upon the opposition parties in their presence.
Mr. Pratap further revealed that the meeting was addressed by one Rajinder Sharma alias Boor Pakodi a tea vendor of Ramnagar and a BJP activist who compared JKNPP leaders with mad dogs. He used the term ‘mad dog’ for Panthers Party Chairman Mr. Harsh Dev Singh at least a dozen times and instigated the people to kill him. “Isko Jinda nahin rehne denge” were the words used by Rajinder Sharma while hurling an open threat to Mr. Harsh Dev Singh. A video of the speech retained by the party bears the testimony, Gagan said. He said that few colleagues of Rajinder Sharma had also been overheard by Sarpanch Shankar Dass a couple of days back that the BJP intended to liquidate Mr. Harsh Dev Singh and further instructions in this regard were awaited from the local MLA and the party.
Mr. Parshotam Parihar State Secretary PTU regretted that with the goonda elements having been given a free hand in Ramnagar, the said vandals and criminals were emboldened to the extent that they had started holding meetings of officers and employees where they openly abused and issued life threats to the opposition leaders without any fear. He said that the BJP was resorting to cheap level politics in utter frustration because Panthers Party had thoroughly exposed the MLA Ramnagar R.S Pathania for his corrupt and criminal conduct. He recalled that more than two dozen complaints were registered against the local MLA which included disproportionate assets, encroachment of State land construction of a palatial bunglow in Kail Majalta, swindling of subsidies related to horticulture and Agriculture Deptts, smuggling of huge conifer trees, paid transfers of employees, extortion of money from unemployed youth in the name of employment, assault on teachers and harassing employees for vested interests, etc.
The JKNPP leaders disclosed that the complaint in this regard had been submitted in the concerned police station at Ramnagar who further sought immediate registration of FIR against the said BJP workers for hurling abuses and life threats to Chairman JKNPP and other leaders. They also asked the District administration to take serious cognizance of politicization of employees in view of their forced participation in the political rallies of MLA Ramnagar where he propagated his political philosophy and spewed venom against the opposition parties.
Prominent among those who were present in the press conference included Shankar Dass Sarpanch, Akash Kharka, Lucky, Anil Rakwal and Rashpaul Singh.
