JKRCEA demands fair and speedy investigation of Rassana murder case

Expressing solidarity with the family of 8 year old who was tortured and brutally murdered in Hiranagar last week, various social organizations viz. Dalit Chetna Manch, All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, Bhagat Mahasabha, Mahasha Sudhar Sabha, Tribal United Forum, Gujjar Youth Desh Body have met here today under the aegis of Jammu Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) and demanded fair and speedy investigation into the incidents to book the culprits of heinous crime at the earliest.

During this extra-ordinary meeting, the heads of socio-religious, retired employees forum, women wing, students and youths wings of JKRCEA were also present who termed is incident as highly shocking and condemnable.

JKRCEA State President, Dr. Sanjay Bhasin while describing the horrible incident as highly hurting and outrageous, said that the culprits of this heinous crime must be identified and booked very urgently for stern punishment. Offering his sympathies to the bereaved family, Dr. Bhasin also said that this shameful act of inhuman elements which has brought bad name not only to State but to the whole nation must be probed fairly and within shortest possible time. He further added that it is equally unfortunate that the poor and helpless victim being from a downtrodden family of Gujjar & Bakerwal community couldn’t catch the due attention and concern from either law enforcing agencies, state govt., other human rights or other social organizations which is a big blot on our system. 
Zabeer Ahmed Bajjar, general secretary of JKRCEA while addressing the gathering said that the whole society has been shattered over this barbaric act and would relentlessly fight to secure justice for victim  and punishment for the perpetrators of the crime. He also fervently appealed the BAR Associations, Chambers of Commerce & Industries of both the provinces of Jammu & Kashmir State, members of civil society and other NGOs to press hard and plead for thorough and speedy investigation of this highly condemnable and horrendous crime so that the culprits be meted out exemplary punishment which would be not only in the interest of justice toher family but would surely have great impact for the security of our many more daughters and the dignity of whole society too.

Bod Raj Bhagat, Prof. G.L.Thappa, M.R.Bangotra, Prof. Kali Dass and Nighat Shafeeq, heads of various wings of JKRCEA, Sham Lal Basson, President of Dalit Chetna Manch, M.L.Banalia, General Secretary, Guru Ravi Dass Sabha, J&K, Mohinder Bhagat, President J&K Bhagat Mahasabha, Roshan Din  Choudhary, President, Jammu Kashmir Tribal United Forum (TUF), Som Raj Taroch, Nabha Dass Research Centre and Charitable Trust, Nazakat Khatana, President, Gujjar Youth Desh Body have expressed their anguish and concern over casual investigation of this heinous crime. They also criticized the authorities for arresting Talib Choudhary, a social activist and the lathi charge on those who were peacefully protesting for the immediate apprehending of the culprits. R.C.Bhasin, Joginder Paul, Fareed Ahmed Choudhary, Brij Rana, Majid Malik, Surinder Dewgowda, G.L.Lakhnotra, T.C.Bavoria, Khursheed Ul Islam, Romesh Kumar, Tara Chand, Sunil Thapa  and Manoj Kumar were among many others who spoke on the occasion.
