Kargil: IKMT takes out protest rally in support of “Justice for Rassana Case” campaign

Extending its support to “Justice for Rassana Case” campaign Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil tookout protest rally, seeking stern action against the culprits on Monday.  The rally was taken out under the ages of IKMT in support of the 8 years old nomad girl from Rassana, Hirangar, who raped and murdered after kidnapping. The rally was taken out from central Jama Masjid of the town after NImaz zohrain thousands of men and women of Kargil took part in the rally from Jamma Masjid Kargil and passed through the main bazar to Islamia School Chowk and culminated at city Lalchowk.

Carrying placard and banners the, protesters were demanding stern punishment for culprits, who committed heinous crime upon a child. A huge number of women majority of which were young girls were in a separate part of the procession chanting slogans “we support Victim” “hang the culprits”. At Lal Chowk, addressing the rally, Asgar Ali Karbalai MLA Kargil termed the act very unfortunate incident in the history of India where girls are considered as a Devi. Referring to the incident he said that gruesome act the nomad child was done January 2018, but the national media and union government did not reacted for three months, untill was exposed on international level. “Our PM who reacted on all international happenings on tweet had a long silence on this issue”, he said admiring NDTV’s initiative for standing with the victim and voice for her cause. In his address, chairman IKMT Hujattul Islam Shiekh Mohd Sadiq Rajai termed incident inhuman act and condemned it. “It was unfortunate that the heinous crime was done in a Temple by a shameless priest and a police who is custodian of law was also had hands in glove with criminals”, he said.
