Rassana Murder case: SIT arrests one more person

As sequel to ongoing investigation into the ‘rape’ and murder of eight years old nomad girl, of Rassana village in Kathua, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Crime Branch of Police have arrested one more person. According to sources, the SIT has arrested one more person namely Surinder Kumar in case (FIR No: 10/2018 U/S 363, 320, 376, 302 RPC). “The arrested person had information about the abduction of the girl. The FIR was registered following the ‘rap’-and murder of the 8-year-old girl  of Rasana Mohara, Hiranagar, Kathua. she was abducted on Jan 10 and her body was found on January 17”, claimed a local new gathering news agency.

Recently in a major breakthrough in the case, the SIT had arrested the accused SPO, Deepak Khajuria (28) of Hiranagar in the case. His arrest was made on basis of solid evidence which proves his involvement in the crime. Police had added section 376 against the Deepak Khujaria, a special police officer (SPO). Following failure of Police to work-out into the infamous case, the state government assigned the case to Crime branch Kashmir of the police. The girl’s ‘rape’ and murder has had rocked the recently concluded budget session in state assembly.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti lambasting some self-styled nationalists’ people who took out rally in favour of culprits of in the case. She wrote into micro blogging site twitter: Appalled by the marches & protests in defense of the recently apprehended rapist in Kathua. Also horrified by their use of our national flag in these demonstrations, this is nothing short of desecration. The accused has been arrested & the law will follow its course.
