Seeking immediate registration of FIR against BJP MLA R.S Pathania for assaulting a teacher inside the class room in HSS Basantgarh, alongwith his armed gunmen, the JKNPP today lambasted the District administration Udhampur for sheltering the rowdy MLA at the behest of their political masters.
Addressing a press conference in Jammu today, the JKNPP leaders Mr. Rajesh Padgotra, Provincial President, Gagan Partap Singh State Secretary and Khajoor Singh Joint Secretary respectively appealed to the Chief Minister to take due cognizance of the criminal antecedents of the notorious MLA who was hell bent to breed tension, foster acrimony and cause disorder in Ramnagar by his extremely culpable conduct. The JKNPP leader Rajesh Padgotra while accusing the BJP MLA of indulging in hooligamstic form of politics said that he often intruded into govt schools and harassed the siblings and other relations of JKNPP leaders who were working as govt teachers. He pointed out that on one such occasion on June 21, 2017, the said MLA intruded into 9th class of HSS Basantgarh where Mr. Pritam Singh Teacher was taking the class. He said that the mischievous MLA questioned the said teacher profusely for quite some time and subsequently dubbed him as dullard and a dunderhead. When the teacher reacted by saying that he was MA, B.Ed and well versed with his subject, the arrogant MLA got agitated, revealed Padgotra, and thrashed the teacher infront of the students. Not only that he called his armed gunmen inside the class room who assaulted the teacher right inside the class, dragged him and threw him out of the school premises, regretted Padgotra. He said that the teacher was deliberately harassed and assaulted by the MLA because the victim’s father was a staunch worker of the Panthers Party. The aggrieved teacher had been receiving persistent threats of dire consequences by the MLA’s goons if he dared to approach the police authorities, divulged Padgotra.
Mr. Khajoor Singh while condemning the highly abominable and criminal conduct of the MLA regretted non initiation of any action against the delinquent MLA or registration of FIR against him. He revealed that 42 students present in the class had given a written statement accusing the MLA of having assaulted the teacher in front of their eyes inside the class room. Displaying the copies of written statements of 42 students who as eye witnesses had given testimony of the assault on school teacher by felonious MLA, he regretted that no case whatever had been registered till date with the concerned police officials giving all protection to the rowdy legislator.
The JKNPP leaders alleged that open space was being given to the notorious MLA to indulge in vandalism and goondaism which had created an alarm in the area. They said that enjoying patronage of some BJP Ministers, the said MLA was using some notorious criminals of Ramnagar to threaten, harass and intimidate not only the JKNPP workers but govt employees as well so as to use them in furtherance of his political interests, said Panthers Party leaders.
Seeking immediate registration of FIR against the MLA for assault on teacher, the fact of which was duly corroborated by dozens of eye witnesses, the JKNPP leaders warned to issue a regular protest calendar against the govt and police authorities in case culprit was not brought to book.
