On this occasion, the participants have also appealed legislators of all the political parties who are either in the govt. or in opposition to objectively support this genuine & just demand of marginalised sections of the society.

Hailing for her (CM’s) approach of taking forward the vision of Late Mufti Mohammed Sayed which he had for the amelioration difficulties of downtrodden, Dr. Bhasin urged all legislators cutting across the political parties line to extend their support for the restoration of reservation in promotions.

Dr. Zabeer Ahmed Bajjar, General Secretary of JKRCEA said that political solution is the only way out to settle the  issue of restoration of reservation in promotion which is a sensitive socio-political affair confronting more than 60% of the population of J&K State. He further said that with the assurance of Chief Minister given to the delegation of SC/ST communities, they are hopeful for early solution to stalemate of reservation in promotion and the reserved classes too expected due benefits of the reservation as the Reservation Act-2004 in J&K State was enacted by none other than CM’s father, Late Mufti Mohammed Sayed. However, if the PDP led current dispensation will not take this grave issue very seriously or will not take any remedial step to restore the reservation in promotion for the reserved categories, this would be a defiance of the missionary policies of Late Mufti Mohammed Sayed, lamented Bajjar.
