Slums’ inmates are deprived of fundamental rights: Kalsotra

R K Kalsotra State President All India Confederation of SC ST OBC Organisations along with Kamlesh Chand and Javid Wattal visited a locality of downtrodden belonging to Wattal and Safai Karamchari living in Ban Talab area mostly on rent and in Jugies (slums) wherein they celebrated 69 Republic Day with children and their parents.

The inmates of the slums apprised Kalsotra, they only know Azadi came on this date but they don’t know when. They spent entire day to earn their livelihood, and despite hard works the community has hand to mouth, they are unable to give education to their children, because they have no good infrastructure to live. We never got any benefit (compensation) of any Govt scheme meant for them, even they don’t know about these schemes. Kalsotra encouraged them to give education to their children, at any cost for their better tomorrow. He assured every possible help would be given if they take initiative to get their children enrolled in school for education. He appealed the Municipality and local bodies to atleast open free school like Police School and give their children quality education so that they should not become Safai Karamchari like their parents. However Kalsotra greeted them all on 69 Republic Day while Javid Wattal and Kamlesh also greeted the inmates.
