In a major success the Security Forces today eliminated two terrorists in Wanigam area of Baramulla district of Kashmir, a defence spokesperson said.
“Acting on specific input of presence of terrorists in village Wanigam Payeen, in Kreeri area of Baramulla, a joint operation was launched by Army and JKP along with CRPF and SSB. During the operation, the terrorists hiding in a house fired indiscriminately upon the joint search party, which was retaliated effectively. In the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed in the early hours today morning”, the spokesperson said.
“The terrorists have been identified by the Jammu Kashmir Police, as Shakir Majid Najar and Hanan Ahmad Seh of LeT. One AK series rifle with 2 magazines, one 9mm pistol with a magazine, an Improvised Explosive Device and other war like stores were recovered from the encounter site”, he added.
“It was thesecond successful operation in the last 24 hours, is a major achievement for the security forces in their efforts to ensure stable security situation in the Kashmir Valley and defeat the evil designs of the inimical elements”, he further added.
