Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a State Level Task Force (SLTF) meeting to review the preparedness of the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 to be held in all districts of the J&K from 7th August this year.
The meeting was attended by Director Family Welfare MCH & Immunization J&K, Dr. Tabasum Jabeen; Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather; Assistant Director Family Welfare MCH & Immunization Kashmir Division, Dr Masrat Jabeen and other senior officers of the health department.
Deputy Commissioners of all districts of J&K, Chief Medical Officers, officers from Department of Women and Child Development, Rural Development Department, attended the meeting through video conferencing.
During the meeting, Secretary Health gave directions to all DCs to review the preparations and ensure robust head count survey and timely uploading of U-WIN. He also directed CMOs to take the lead and ensure no child is left un vaccinated. He also advised on flexi session timings so that wages are not lost while coming for vaccination of their children especially those working in Brick Kilns.
Bhupinder Kumar expressed his satisfaction that UT of J&K does not face problem of vaccine hesitancy as compared to other states and lauded the society for taking the children’s vaccination seriously based on scientific evidence. He directed all CMOs to actively support and supervise this special event in tandem with DY CMOs, DIOs and other allied departments.
Director FWMCH and Immunization directed all concerned officers to ensure 100% due children are vaccinated by a complete and robust microplan made by diligent House to House Survey. During the meeting, Director Health services Kashmir asked all CMOs to actively participate and support the forth coming IMI 5.0 so that no child/pregnant women are left without due dose of vaccine. Earlier, a detailed PowerPoint Presentation was given by SEPIO J&K on Operational Guidelines of IMI 5.0 to held in three (03) rounds starting 7th August 2023, highlighting that unique feature of this IMI is the introduction of U-WIN Application across the districts where in eligible beneficiaries shall be registered and vaccine administration be recorded on U-WIN as previously done in Co-WIN Application.
