Amid prevailing communal tension over expelled BJP leaders for disrespecting Prophet Muhammad, Apni Party Provincial President Jammu, Manjit Singh has appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain communal harmony and mutual brotherhood.
To review the emerging situation in J&K following statements which triggered communal tension in some parts of Chenab Valley in particular, Apni Party organized a meeting under the leadership of Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh Ji in which other leaders were also present.
“Jammu and Kashmir always remained a peaceful State and the Govt should act strictly under the law against the elements who want to create communal tension”, he said. “The incidents which have become the cause of tension and hurting sentiments of a community and responses thereafter were unfortunate. It is the time for the members of civil society, politicians, educationists, and the administration to ensure peace,” he said. He said that it is also the responsibility of religious heads of both the communities to hold meetings and convince the people to avoid any kind of further communal tension. He said that the legal action should be taken strictly under the law and convene meetings to maintain communal harmony.
