Jammu Police have busted an interstate gang of vehicles lifters and arrested Haryana based kingpin along with his companions, and their disclosure four stolen trucks have been recovered.
According to Police spokesperson, “On 7th July a complainant reported at Police Post Gadhigarh that his truck has been stolen during the intervening night of 6/7 July. Acting on complaint a case was registered at Satwari Police Station. Similarly, two more cases of Truck theft were reported at Police Post Bathindi on 13th and 29th July, based on these complaints two more FIRs were registered at Police Station Bahufort.”
“After cases, SP Jammu South Mamta Sharma constituted two teams under the supervision of SDPO East DySP Zaheer Jafri and SDPO South Sachit Sharma. One team led by SHO Bahu Fort and another team led by SHO Satwari raided at several places in their respective jurisdictions. Based on specific information corroborated through technical data analysis, three suspects were rounded up and subjected to thorough questioning, who confessed their involvement in truck theft cases”, the spokesperson further said. “The suspects were identified Bablu Kumar, Shubam both residents of Rajiv Nagar Narwal and third Ramesh Kumar a resident of Dansal, Jhajjar Kotli. On their disclosures the truck lifter gang was busted and one more accused namely Bittu Khurana a resident of Kheri Markanda, Kurukshetra, Haryana got arrested and four stolen trucks were recovered from Karnal Haryana”, the spokesperson added.
