Activities and projected being given by the Private Schools to its students, a kind of burden on the parents as the students cannot perform on their own, the students should be enabled by the school its self rather than shifting these responsibilities to the parents.
“What is the purpose of these activities at all when the same has to be made by ourselves and not by our children”, said a group of parents, adding that the private schools’ administration miserably failed as they don’t know, as to what level of activities and projects they expect from the students.
“We are not averse to activities but at-least the schools before giving the activities should see that the particular activities be made by the respective students themselves not the parents. The schools don’t know the level of the activities to be given to the respective students of their schools as the level is high as such we have to made”, they regrated.
“The project we make for the children, same seen to be showcased in the schools so that when the parents came in the schools on the occasion of parents teachers meeting coupled with admission process, they be shown the calibre of the students in particular and school administration in general”, they said.
The parents making a sympathetic appeal to the Directorate of School Education Jammu to take notice of this issue. A Psychologist says that the activities given by the school to their students are the part and parcel of their studies, the private schools to be well acquainted as to what type of activities to be given to the students.
“If one read the Psychology, it says that the students should not be made overburdened in terms of putting load on them of studies rather you see when toddlers take admission in schools, they at the first level teach basics of English, Hindi, Maths etc and not directly told to write essays and do simplification in maths that’s the reason, students being first teach basics so that they could easily learn the same”, he said.
Official of the Directorate of School Education Jammu, pleading anonymity told that the activities being given to the students along with the academic work so that the students be not made boredom. “If we continue to teach the students but not gives them the practical work then it would make the students lazy after all”, he said.
The Hidden News contacted the Director School of Jammu for comment, but no response has been received yet, we will update the story, if any response comes from the authorities.
