In a bid to tackle the escalating issue of drug addiction in the region, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Anand Jain, conducted a thorough review of the ongoing construction work at the newly established Drug De-Addiction Centre in the Jammu district at Channi Himmat.

The inspection aimed to assess the progress of the project and expedite its completion to provide crucial rehabilitation services to those in need.

Expressing his fervent commitment to combatting drug abuse, ADGP Jammu expressed his keen interest in expediting the project during the review. “We are deeply committed to addressing the pressing issue of drug addiction in our community. The timely completion of the Drug De-Addiction Centre is crucial to providing much-needed support and rehabilitation services to individuals struggling with substance abuse,” stated Anand Jain.

During the inspection, ADGP Jammu emphasized the critical importance of completing the facility promptly to effectively address the growing menace of drug addiction in the area. “We must ensure that all necessary resources are allocated promptly to expedite the construction process,” he asserted.

Highlighting the significance of the Drug De-Addiction Centre, ADGP Jammu issued clear and decisive directives to the concerned authorities. “The establishment of this center aligns with our overarching goal of creating a healthier and safer community. Once completed, it will serve as a beacon of hope for those in need of assistance,” he remarked.

The ADGP reiterated the unwavering commitment of the J&K Police Department to combating drug addiction and affirmed that the completion of the Drug De-Addiction Centre is a top priority. “We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support and rehabilitation programs to help individuals reclaim their lives from the grips of addiction,” he emphasized.

The newly established Drug De-Addiction Centre, once operational, is expected to play a pivotal role in addressing the challenges posed by drug abuse in the region. It will offer a range of services aimed at assisting individuals in overcoming addiction and leading healthier, more productive lives.
