The Jammu University Scholars today staged vociferously protests against the J&K government for amending recruitment rule for the post assistant professor in colleges, saying that the Jammu University’s scholars’ have to take entrance test along with General Studies also been kept in that entrance test and the weightage of Entrance test is seventy five percent.
In the backdrop of this order passed by General administration department (GAD) yesterday in a minute of meeting came as bolt out of blue for the Jammu University Scholars and they adopted a Agitational path to opposed the step which they said condemnable and they unequivocally demand revocation of the same at the earliest.
JU Scholars protested against the LG administration and assembled outside the JU in order to show their resentment against the administration. JU Scholars gives vent to their anger coupled with simmering with discontent that come what may but they can’t take the entrance test as they put the record straight before the media as already first Sub Inspectors scam came to fore and its recruitment get cancelled after that Finance Account Assistant (FAA). Under this regime every recruitment marred by the scams and frauds which lost the confidence of the unemployed youths in the recruitment despite the youths burnt the midnight oil but in turn those who filled the coffers of the recruitment agencies their names get figured. Transparency and accountability under this regime mere rhetoric and blue eyes aspirants making hay while the sun shines.
As the JU Scholars tried to blocked the road Police rushed to the spot to pacify the angry Scholars to not blocked the road as it would lead to traffic Jams in general and inconvenience to the commuters. As per the visuals emerged on the media deliberations takes place between scholars and the Police and it continue for longer duration. Scholars Categorically stated that they are doing peaceful protest, to this Police said tell me “Road closed is illegal”. Scholars said UT administration snatched our valuable rights which can’t allowed them to succeed in their nefarious design at all. The scholars vehemently said, “We are raising our plight before the LG administration that is our right but unfortunately the Police come and beat us.”
One of the Scholar lashes out against the government, said “Yesterday a new recruitment rule came from the administration to take entrance test which is really intriguing and baffling as to why we would take exam moot question which arises for consideration. Researchers do in particular field. Why we read General Studies. The one who qualified NET/SLET and adhered to the very UGC guidelines we are being underestimate. We lost very faith in the recruitment through entrance as SIs exam and FAA still fresh in our minds. Administration playing with the precious career which is quite intolerable. Same post being re advertised four times, roster changed. Decisions are taken in haste by those at the helms of affairs. We ranked second in unemployment. We are doing peaceful despite that Police says Your Protest is illegal. It has been seen that by doing protests several governments changed their stance and takes innovative step. When we are on roads, we are given sticks as unemployed youths demands Job in a transparent manner.” One of the Scholar wrote on Facebook in regard to the recent move of the LG administration in the Assistant Professors recruitment process as he termed that by taking entrance test means they are underestimating the scholars who possessed Ph.D and NET/ SLET. As such administration needs to revoked such an order which brews resentment amongst the Scholars at the very outset. Teaching is an experience which one can gain with the passage of time in so far as entrance is concerned that is tricky. Sooner the administration revoked the entrance test the better it would in the interest of Scholars who have given their sweat and blood in their studies.
