The announcement clarifies that Dr. Jitendra Singh will contest from the Udhampur seat, which he has held since 2014, while Jugal Kishore Sharma will be the party’s candidate for the Jammu constituency.
National General Secretary of the BJP, Arun Singh, issued a list comprising 195 candidates for the impending Lok Sabha polls. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to contest from the Varanasi constituency, reaffirming his electoral stronghold in the region. Home Minister Amit Shah will seek re-election from Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will vie for the Lukhnow seat.
