In a remarkable display of grit and determination, Cadet Mohit Knathia of the NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh emerged victorious at a grueling mountaineering course held in Darjeeling. Representing the 4 JK NCC Battalion of the Jammu Group from Government Degree College, Kathua, Cadet Mohit outshone 42 fellow candidates to claim the coveted title of Best Student on the Course.
The demanding course put the cadets’ physical and mental fortitude to the ultimate test, consisting of challenges such as a 14-kilometer physical endurance test, glacier and ice climbing, sports wall climbing, rock climbing, rappelling, rock craft, tent pitching, map reading, written tests, and a strict discipline regimen.
Cadet Mohit’s unwavering spirit and exceptional skills enabled him to excel in every aspect of the course, solidifying his position at the top of the podium. His achievement is a testament to the dedicated efforts of the 4 JK NCC Battalion, under the guidance of Battalion Commander, Colonel Ram Madhukar Sharma and ANO Lt Daya Ram.
