Authorities have imposed curfew in Chenab Valley after possibilities of shuffle between two communities, over statements expelled BJP Spokespersons Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal for their remarks against Prophet Muhammad recently during a TV Debate on National News Chanel.
Internet service in the region has also been temporarily snaped as precautionary measure. On Thursday evening situation in Chenab valley region of Jammu division turned tensed, when a religious leader from a place of worship made controversial statement against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, the expelled BJP leaders.
In response to statement against Nupur Sharma, member of another community expressed anger, taking the situation seriously the administration-imposed restriction over gathering and also snaped internet service in Bhaderwah town of Doda district. Huge deployment of security forces has been made to prevent any kind of violence by the government. On Friday, people came on road in Bhaderwah for protests, but to control the situation, security forces fired teargas shell to disperse the protestors.
According to Police situation is under control. “Four FIRs have been registered in this connection”, a Police officer told The Hidden News. Curfew extended in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban district of Jammu division. All shop in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban district remained closed except medical store. People have been aksed to not venture out of their house as precautionary measure. Meanwhile in Kashmir valley markets remained close and mobile internet service has been suspended.

I humbly appeal to the elders and the heads of the two communities to sit together to maintain the traditional harmony for which the beautiful town of Bhaderwah has always been known for. Meanwhile, I am in constant touch with DC Doda Sh Vikas Sharma and Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sh Ramesh Kumar. DC Doda and SSP Doda are presently camping in Bhaderwah and personally monitoring the situation”, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, who is also Member of Parliament from the Doda-Udhampur seat, said in series of tweet.
