In a groundbreaking move aimed at curbing drug-related activities, Deputy Commissioner Samba and SSP Samba spearheaded a meticulously planned operation resulting in the seizure of properties belonging to notorious drug dealers in District Samba.
The operation led to the confiscation of a single-story residential property valued at approximately Rs. 15 lakhs in the Rakh Barotian area of Vijaypur. This property was owned by the infamous drug dealer Shamas Din, also known as Bacchu, son of Maskeen Ali, hailing from Rakh Barotian tehsil in Vijaypur, District Samba. Additionally, another residential property worth Rs. 32 lakhs, belonging to another notorious drug peddler named Masoom Ali, also known as Kala, son of Dulla from Rakh Barotian Tehsil in Vijaypur District Samba, was confiscated.
The administration, with the robust support of law enforcement agencies, executed this operation under sections 68-E read with 68-F of the NDPS Act of 1985, in connection with FIRs registered at Police Station Vijaypur respectively. Thorough investigations and inquiries conducted by vigilant officers of the Police Station Vijaypur established a clear link between the properties and illicit drug trafficking activities.
This significant action sends a strong message to drug peddlers, emphasizing the administration’s unwavering commitment to combat drug-related issues and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
