The Cyber Police Station Jammu has once again demonstrated its resolute commitment to combating cybercrime by successfully recovering Rs 29,39,841 defrauded through various online scams between April 18 and April 28, 2024.
These complaints pertained to online frauds involving KYC update fraud, investment scams, credit card fraud, online job/task frauds, and installation of malicious mobile apps, among others. The Cyber Police Station Jammu promptly initiated investigations into the various complaints and FIRs registered and managed to recover the total defrauded amount of Rs 29,39,841 (Twenty-nine lakh thirty-nine thousand eight hundred forty-one).
Under the supervision of SP PC Jammu, the team led by DySP Cyber and the in-charge of Cyber Police Station Jammu displayed relentless efforts and advanced technical capabilities, leading to the successful recovery of the defrauded money.
