Zedang Sumpa Battalion of the Ladakh Scouts Regiment in collaboration with Royal Enfield undertaken a bike expedition from National War Memorial, Delhi to Leh War Memorial from 23 May and it would culminate on June 1, at Leh.
The bike expedition taking place to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Ladakh Scouts on 1st June and to pay tributes to the valiant soldiers for their unparalleled contribution towards the Nation.
The expedition was flagged off at Delhi by Lieutenant General AK Samantara, Director General Infantry. The riders will cover a total distance of 1038 kilometers and will cross over high himalayan passes of Rohtang, Bara Lachla and Palchan. They will also interact with the citizens’ enroute with an aim to apprise them of the gallant stories of brave Nunnus, who have stood steadfast during adverse conditions and have ensured the sanctity of borders. The team will also visit schools enroute and spread awareness about various career options in Indian Army. The bike expedition ‘Vanquish’ will endeavor to replicate the invisible spirit of our bravehearts by rekindling their spirit of courage and adventure.
