Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today inspected the Forest Department Nursery at Tandwal and took stock of plant material produced for afforestation in the region.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the officials of the Forest Department and enquired about the initiatives being taken by the department to carry out afforestation and conserve the environment. He also inspected the saplings and plants in the nursery and appreciated the department for propagating the green cover. Highlighting the importance of afforestation and the need to preserve the natural resources of the region, he underlined the role of the Forest Department in promoting sustainable development and protecting the environment.
The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the importance of public participation in afforestation and urged the people to come forward and contribute towards making Rajouri a more green and sustainable place. The Forest Department officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the various initiatives being undertaken by the department. He urged the officials to continue their efforts and assured them of all possible support from the district administration.
