The special Director General, J&K Prisons, Hemant Kumar Lohia reportedly slit to death late on Monday night at his residence in Udaiwala, on the outskirts of Jammu city.
According to sources, his domestic help is absconding after the murder of Lohia. It is also being reported in the media, after the murder of a senior officer, attempts made to burn his body, but other domestic help present in the house noticed, smoke from a inside locked room. He broke the room, and found Lohia dead. Senior officers have reached Lohia’s house. Body has been sent for medico and legal formalities. Police have launched manhunt to nab the absconding domestic help. It has been also reported that the Lohia throat slit with broken bottle of ketchup.
