Marking a momentous occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today inaugurated the highly anticipated DM’s Library (Jayshree) at the District Information Centre. The state-of-the-art facility, offering a wide array of books encompassing civil services, PMT/JEE notes and a diverse collection of general literature, is all set to become a hub of knowledge and learning for the community.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed individuals, including the visionary force behind the establishment of the library Narinder Raina, the District Information Officer (Nodal Officer for the Establishment of Libraries), JEE expert Anshul Sharma and others.
After the inauguration, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal interacted with the enthusiastic students who had already enrolled in the library. These students, representing various schools, evinced their excitement for the wealth of knowledge and resources now available to them. While interacting with the students, the Deputy Commissioner informed them that the DM’s Library (Jayshree) aims to provide equal educational opportunities to all students, regardless of their background or financial status. In line with this objective, enrollment in the library is completely free of charge. Any individual wishing to become a member can visit the Office of the District Information Centre in Rajouri and register for membership. The staff at the centre will warmly assist and guide them through the process.
