The meteorological department has predicted generally dry weather conditions for the region over the next week, with only isolated chances of thundershower activity.
An official from the department stated that from May 23 to May 28, most areas can expect dry weather, although the possibility of thundershowers at isolated places cannot be ruled out.
Between May 29 and May 31, the weather is likely to be partly to generally cloudy, with light rain and thunder expected at isolated locations. However, the official emphasized that no significant weather activity is anticipated during this period leading up to the end of the month.
Meanwhile, the plains of Jammu Division and Kashmir Division are likely to continue experiencing heat wave conditions over the next six days. The hilly districts of the region are also expected to witness hot and dry weather during this period. The extended dry spell and high temperatures could potentially impact agricultural activities and water resources in the area. Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the intense heat.
Despite the predominantly dry forecast, the meteorological department has cautioned that isolated thundershower activity cannot be completely ruled out, particularly towards the end of the month. Authorities have urged the public to stay updated on weather advisories and take appropriate measures in case of any sudden change in weather conditions.
