Jammu Development Authority sent a demolition notice to Ex Dy Chief Minister, erstwhile J&K state Dr Nirmal Singh and his wife Mamta Singh on Monday, and other issued by the JDA taking round on social media.
Order of demolition issued in terms of section 7(3) of control Building Operation Act, 1988, for not attaining “the valid permission from the competent authority as prescribed under the law”. In the notice the JAD has directed Dr Nirmal Singh to remove illegal construction own your own within five days from the date of issuance of the order. If you fail to remove the illegal construction within the stipulated time the same shall be demolished by enforcement wing of JDA and the cost of removal shall be recovered from you as arrears of land revenue. It pertinent to mention that Dr Nirmal Singh was incharge Minister for Housing and Urban Development Department, during PDP-BJP coalition government of J&K.
