In a proactive move against illicit activities, the Doda Police have taken decisive action against the cultivation of poppy plants in the Phagsoo area of Thathri.
Acting on specific intelligence, a team comprising officers from the Thathri Police Station, led by Inspector Suresh Kumar, SHO Puolice Station Thathri, accompanied by an Executive Magistrate of Class 1st and other revenue officials, conducted a raid on the fields owned by Qutub Din and Zakir Hussain, residents of Rangola, Tehsil-Phagsoo.
During the operation, all poppy plants found on the premises were seized under the supervision of the Executive Magistrate. This swift action is a testament to the commitment of the Doda Police in combating the cultivation of illicit substances. In response to the seizure, a First Information Report (FIR) bearing number 24/2024 has been filed at the Thathri Police Station under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The investigation into the case has been initiated against the individuals involved in the illegal cultivation.
