In a significant move to enhance operational readiness and troop welfare, Mukesh Singh, Inspector General, North Eastern Border of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), today inaugurated several new facilities at the force’s strategic headquarters ‘Jung’ in Dirang.
During his visit, Singh unveiled a state-of-the-art operations room, modern residential premises for soldiers, and a well-equipped gymnasium at the sensitive border outpost. The newly inaugurated operations room is equipped with advanced communication systems and real-time surveillance technology, enabling efficient coordination and swift decision-making during critical situations. The residential premises, constructed with modern amenities, will provide comfortable living quarters for the troops deployed in the harsh terrain, boosting their morale and overall well-being.
Recognizing the importance of physical fitness for personnel operating in challenging environments, the ITBP has established a modern gymnasium at the Jung headquarters. This facility will allow soldiers to maintain peak physical condition, enhancing their operational readiness and resilience.
In his address, Inspector General Mukesh Singh commended the efforts of the ITBP personnel for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders. He emphasized the importance of leveraging technology and infrastructure development to strengthen the force’s capabilities in meeting emerging challenges effectively.
