One security officer killed, four injured, operation underways

Averting a major attacked, ahead of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit in Pali village of Samba, Security Forces in the wee hours neutralized two Fidayeen, in Jalalabad area, near military station Sunjwan outskirt of Jammu city on Friday, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer also killed in the encounter.

Two terrorists have been killed in Sunjwan encounter and operation is still underway, said ADGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, while briefing media persons at encounter site this morning. The security forces have corded off entire area, searches going on. “Two AK-47 rifles, arm ammunition and a satellite phone have been recovered from the killed terrorists”, the Jammu Zone Police Chief said.

The encounter between the terrorists and the security forces started at around 3:30, near the Sunjwan military station. As per CISF the terrorists attacked a bus carrying Jawan for deployment of routine duties near Chatha Camp Jammu. “In this attack an ASI of CISF lost his life while two other were injured.
