The Jammu Police made a significant breakthrough apprehending one Khursheed Ahmed from Badhat Dhrabshala, Kishtwar.
He was found in possession of approximately 600 grams of an opium-like substance.
The diligent efforts of the police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Bahu Fort, assisted by the in-charge of Police Post Narwal, culminated in the arrest of the accused in the Narwal area of Subdivision East. The recovery was made from the accused’s Alto car bearing registration number JK17A-1078 under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) East and Superintendent of Police (SP) South. In connection with this case, an FIR (First Information Report) No. 113/2024 under Sections 8/17/18/25 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort, marking a decisive step towards curbing the drug trade in the area. The Jammu Police have urged all citizens to remain vigilant against the scourge of drugs and to promptly report any suspicious activities. The confidentiality of informants will be strictly maintained, ensuring their safety and security.
