In a significant development, the Jammu Police have arrested an absconder in connection with the land dispute-related scuffle that led to a murder in the Greater Kailash area.

Sachin Patiyal, also known as Sanju, a resident of Samba, had been evading arrest since April 30, 2024, after the incident occurred. The police have also seized his vehicle, a Baleno car, which is believed to be linked to the case. According to the authorities, Patiyal’s role is emerging as a significant link behind the entire scuffle, making his arrest a major achievement for the Jammu Police in their investigation of the case. In a further development, a revenue officer has been deputed to assist the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in their ongoing probe into the matter.
