DGM JKHB throws Pr Secy PWD order of recalling JEs back into bin

It might sound strange but fact the despite repeated orders issued by the Secretary, Public Works (R&B) Department, recalling Junior Engineers posted in different department beyond five years’ stay, two JEs Rinku Verma and Suresh Kumar managed to get themselves retained in J&K Housing Board (JKHB).

Not only this JEs, even cases of two senior officers of the JKHB including a Deputy General Manager (DGM) a backdoor appointee and a senior officer who amassed huge assets beyond his known source of income are under investigation before premiere anti-graft agency of JK UT. The government has at least twice recalled these JEs but the then controlling officer, DGM JK HB, disrespecting Principal Secretary, PWD retained both of them. Though, a complaint on JK Grievance portal complaint no. 999001297441 on 29/01/2020 regarding his over stay and disrespect of government was filed, but the greasing palms of his seniors he managed retention in same company (Govt own), but also mislead the Grievance Cell.According to the sources, these JEs are allegedly collecting ‘commissions’ from the contractors and the agencies hired by JKHB for various works, for themselves and their bosses for each work being executed by the Housing Board. It has been learnt from the sources that the then DGM Division-I, retained them disrespecting govt order no. 32-PW(R&B) of 2021, dated 22/01/2021.
