‘Ex Officer, reportedly holdings frequent meetings at his home, delivering lectures’
A retired officer and active member of banned, Jamaat-e-Islami is reportedly holding frequent meetings at his home to spread the ideology in a posh area in Srinagar city.
This active member of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami, which on National Investigation Agency (NIA) radar, have connections with some Kashmir based mainstream Political parties and the bureaucrats as well. Having patronage of politicians and the bureaucrats, this man was engaged in Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Specified Wakfs and Specified Properties, immediately after his retirement from government services”, said a Sufi Scholar, adding that during his stay in Wakfs Board, he escaped all the congregations took place at various shrines come under the control of the Board. “We are happy, that the NIA has launched a man-hunt against, this organisation. But, we are surprised at a time the NIA making large number of arrest, this man fearlessly organising meeting and spreading Jamaat-e-Islami ideology”, the scholar said, adding that this ideology is a sin for Kashmiriyat. “They are radicalising, Kashmiri youths, the government should curb this menace, before it is too late”, he said, adding that undue expenditure of Jammu & Kashmir Muslim Specified Wakfs and Specified Properties occurred on his wages and allied expenses, should be recovered from his pocket. “NIA should immediately arrest this man and his followers to make Kashmir a true heaven on earth, where violence would have place and to discourage the armed conflict”, he added.
