Under the New Industrial Policy of Jammu and Kashmir, various projects of worth Rs. 23,000 crores have been finalised in the Union Territory. There are around four big corporates who are in various stages of being allotted land.
Out of the total investment, Rs. 12,000 crores will be invested in Jammu division and remaining Rs. 11,000 crores will go to Kashmir. The major corporate investors include Jindal Steel Works, other belongs to telecom, cyberoptics and hosiery sector. According to the sources Jampan and Dubai also committed to invest in Jammu and Kashmir.
