NC only option to get back statehood for J&K: Dr. Vikas

The National Secular Forum (NSF) today held a mask and sanitizer distribution programme at Bagh-e-Bahu locality. Dr. Vikas Sharma, Secretary Central Zone and Coordinator Jammu Distt Urban, J&K National Conference was the chief guest on the occasion. The activists of NSF distributed masks among the local people and passer byes.

They also spread awareness regarding need to maintain hygiene to avoid spread of Covid-19. Dr Sharma appreciated the NSF for holding such programs at regular interval. He urged people to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) for the cause of society. Addressing the youth, Dr. Vikas said Jammu and Kashmir was lacking on all fronts be it employment, infrastructure development, governance or public grievance redressal due to downgrading of J&K’s status from a state to a union territory. “Until we get the statehood back for J&K, nothing can happen here.

The only way to move ahead is to get statehood back,” he said and blamed the ruling dispensation for causing innumerous sufferings to the deprived sections of the society. He mentioned that NC was the only party that had the capability to fight for the cause of J&K. “We will continue our fight against the injustice done to the people of our region”, he reiterated. Vikshay Vashist District President NSF presented vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to Dr Vikas Sharma for providing all sorts of help and guidance to organize the camp.
