The government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order to constitute a Board of Revenue in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act 1996.
Shaleen Kabra, Financial Commissioner, Revenue J&K, Ex-Officio Chairman, Zubair Ahmed, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Rajesh Sharma Custodian General, J&K will be members of the Board. The board is the chief controlling authority regarding all the matters provided in the Act. The board is authorized to exercise, performs, and discharge powers, functions, and duties as enshrined in the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act 1996 or any other law in force for the time being. The board is directed to perform all functions entrusted to it by the government from time to time. However, the board will work under the supervision, direction, and control of the government.
