Three militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Pulwama on Wednesday.
Following the information about the presence of militants in Pulwama, the security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation after which a gun battle broke between the two. Getting a sense of the search operation, militants opened fire on the security forces which turned it into the encounter, a police official said. One of the terrorists identified Aijaz Abu Huraira as Let Commander and was a Pakistani national, police officer informed. The search operation is still carried on for more such hidden militants.
