In an unprecedented act, the CID wing of Jammu and Kashmir police have issued an order to deny security clearance mandatory for passport and other government services to all those involved in stone-pelting or disruptive activities against the state. Senior Superintendent of Police, CID, Special Branch, Kashmir has directed to all the field units through an order to ensure that the person’s involvement in law and order, stone-pelting cases, and other activities against the security of the state be specially looked into during the verification. Digital pieces of evidence like CCTV footage, photographs, videos and audio clips and other images available in the records of the local police stations, security forces, and security agencies will also be referred during the verification, the SSP said. If any person is found involved in any disruptive activities must be denied the security clearance, he further added.
