The Supreme Court is set to address today the contempt case against Patanjali Ayurved and Baba Ramdev over the dissemination of deceptive medical advertisements.
Both Ramdev and Patanjali MD Acharya Balkrishna have been summoned to personally appear before the Court.
During the previous hearing, Ramdev and Balkrishna tendered personal apologies and expressed willingness to issue a public apology. Consequently, the Court adjourned the hearing until today, allowing them the opportunity to take necessary steps to rectify the contempt.
Additionally, the Court will examine the alleged inaction on the part of Uttarakhand authorities concerning the misleading medical advertisements promoted by Patanjali and its subsidiary, Divya Pharmacy.
