Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today paid heartfelt tributes to Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Deepak Sharma, who made the supreme sacrifice while valiantly fighting and neutralizing a most wanted gangster in Kathua last night.
Taking to social media, the Lt Governor expressed his condolences and saluted the valour and indomitable courage displayed by the martyred officer. “I salute the valour & indomitable courage of PSI Deepak Sharma, who made the supreme sacrifice while valiantly fighting & neutralising a most wanted gangster in Kathua. His supreme sacrifice will remain etched in our hearts. Deepest condolences to the family of martyr Deepak Sharma,” he tweeted.

In his message, Sinha reiterated the nation’s solidarity with the martyred officer’s family and the Jammu and Kashmir Police force. “The nation stands in solidarity with martyr’s family & @JmuKmrPolice, whose dedication, resilience & courage in battling a variety of challenges & adversaries continue to inspire us,” he stated.
The Lt Governor vowed that every drop of blood of the martyr would be avenged and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to creating a fear-free Jammu and Kashmir. “Every drop of blood of our martyr will be avenged, and we are committed to creating a fear-free J&K,” Sinha asserted. PSI Deepak Sharma was critically injured during the fierce gunbattle with gangsters at the Government Medical College in Kathua on Wednesday night. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
