BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana today called up the LG administration to resolve the long pending issues of Jammu based Reserved Category Employees serving in Kashmir. He said that reserved category employees should be treated at par with PM package employees so that a feeling of discrimination and enmity must not developed among fellow employees.
A number of delegations today called on BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana including All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees serving in Kashmir Division and highlighted their problems.
All Jammu based Reserved category Employees led by its president Anil Radha demanded that a suitable transfer policy be framed so that lives and livelihood of the Reserved Category employees could be ensured. They said that Scheduled Caste and Scheduled tribe employees from Jammu serving in Kashmir be treated at par with Kashmiri Migrant employees and a concrete inter district / inter division transfer policy for All Jammu based reserved category employees must be framed, safe and secure accommodation for those employees who do not come in the preview of transfer policy be made. Reserved Category Employees should be treated at par with PM Package Employees in respect to safety, security and accommodation.
They further told MP Khatana that salaries of few employees are still pending even after resuming their duties and govt. must be asked to redress the issue. A delegation of Gujjars, Tribal Association Pahalgam led by Muneer Chouhan, president too called on MP Khatana and highlighted the harassment faced by them. They alleged that Gujjars residing in Pahalgam were running Pony business from Pahalgam Pony stand since last many years but were evicted from the stand by few miscreants who are not allowing them to run their business. A delegation of SC/ST/Reserved category employees to called on MP Gulam Ali and complained of harassment by senior officials leading to depression and in some cases having committed suicide. MP Khatana assured to take up the issues with concerned authorities.
