The farmer’s protest is again gaining momentum at the Singhu border as thousands of sugarcane farmers from the western UP have started moving towards the protest site.
These farmers are also protesting for the payment of the due price of sugarcane. Farmers are claiming that they have not received the balance of their payment from the government for the last seven years. In order to support these protesting farmers, Indian Farmer Union’s leader Rakesh Tikait also participated.
“This payment should be made within the 14 days of buying the sugarcane from the farmers by the government but since this government is full of robbers, they have not given the due share of the farmers”, he states. He further said, “we will have to get this country rid of from these robbers and government to have to accept the demand of the Indian farmers”. The protesting farmers also seem determined to fight for their demands and justice.
