Amid the surge in COVID positive cases in J&K, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib has shared a very disturbing trend of people in Udhampur, who prefer to pay fine rather than wearing face masks and following the SOPs to eradicate deadly corona virus. Till date 4.28 lakh deaths and 32 million positive cases have been reported in India. “I need new ideas so that we can make people wear masks as people are ready to pay fine Rs 500 but are not wearing the masks. We have collected Rs 51000 yesterday and Rs 31 Lakhs since April, but still we see faced without masks so now we need something new…..cases are on rise again”, the DM Udhampur, tweeted.
