Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes during his rally in Jammu, as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu’ program. The event provided a platform for beneficiaries to share their experiences and highlight the transformative impact of government initiatives on their lives.
Veena Devi from Kishtwar district expressed her gratitude for the Ujjwala Yojna, stating, “Ujjwala Yojna has made my life better and allowed me to make time for myself and my family. Earlier, I used to fetch wood for cooking from the forests.” She also thanked the Prime Minister for the Ayushman Cards her family holds, wishing for their good health.
Kirti Sharma of Kathua, a beneficiary of the Rashtriya Ajivika Abhiyan, shared her success story, saying, “My self-help group started with a loan of Rs 30,000 and now we own ten cows. We have repaid the bank loan and have benefited from many other government schemes. We assure full cooperation in the project of creating 3 crore Lakhpati Didis.”
Laal Mohammad, a farmer from Poonch, thanked the Prime Minister for assistance under the PM Awas Yojna, stating, “I hail from a border area where my mud house was subjected to shelling. Thanks to PM Awas Yojna, I received Rs 1,30,000 for building a pucca home where I now reside.” He also recited a couplet in appreciation of the Prime Minister’s efforts.
Shaheena Begum from Bandipora shared her journey from unemployment to successful entrepreneurship, saying, “I availed a loan to start a honey farming business and later expanded it with the help of National Rural Livelihood Mission. Today, I am recognized in the field and have become a Lakhpati Didi.”
Riyaz Ahmed Koli of Pulwama, a beneficiary of the Jal Jeevan Mission, expressed gratitude for piped water in his village, stating, “Every house in my village has piped water now, which has transformed our lives.” He also highlighted the positive impact of the abrogation of Article 370. The interactions underscored the significant impact of government schemes on the ground, highlighting the government’s commitment to inclusive development and empowerment.
