Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several key development projects in Palghar, Maharashtra.
Among the highlights were the foundation stone for the Vadhvan Port, a project valued at approximately ₹76,000 crore, and the inauguration of 218 fisheries projects worth ₹1,560 crore. He also launched the Vessel Communication and Support System, an initiative costing around ₹360 crore.
During his address, PM Modi paid tribute to Sant Senaji Maharaj and recalled his visit to Raigarh Fort after being nominated as Prime Minister in 2013. He emphasized the significance of Maharashtra’s maritime history and the potential for economic growth through projects like Vadhvan Port, which is set to become India’s largest container port.
PM Modi also highlighted the government’s efforts to support the fishing community and the development of coastal infrastructure. He stressed the importance of unity and development in Maharashtra, urging citizens to remain vigilant against those who disrespect national icons like Veer Savarkar and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The event was attended by key state and central government officials.
