Chief Election Commission (ECI) declared date of presidential election this afternoon. The Chief Election Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar told the press that voting for the presidential election will take place on July 18, while counting will take place on 4th day i.e. 21 July. The tenure of President Ram Nath Kovind will end on 24 July 2022.
Total number of electors for the presidential election will be 4,809 including 776 MPs and 4,033 MLAs.
