Meanwhile, in interview with a news portal after surfacing the controversial audio, BDC Chairman, Sunderbani, Arun Kumar Sharma claimed that it was doctored audio. “I disown, the audio clip taking round on social media. I have lodged a complaint with district administration in this regard, I hope the administration will bring the fact in public soon, and the main culprits will face action as per law”, he said. The BDC Chairmen Sunderbani Arun Kumar Sharma has stirred a hornets nest reportedly as per reports when he made use of casteist remarks against the IAS, JKAS Officers belonged to Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe communities during a telephonic conversation, which now in public domain. As the video of BDC Chairmen Sunderbani went viral social media it spreads like wildfire and which caught the BDC Chairmen on wrong foot for using filthy language against the officers of SC/ST Communities.
In the backdrop of this incident that BDC Chairmen used casteist remarks this fuelled anger and resentment amongst the Society at large in the Sunderbani where in people large numbers assembled reportedly to condemn this uncalled, unwarranted used of remarks by the BDC Chairmen. There is massive uproar and ruckus amongst the people that how come BDC chairmen went to the extent of saying such remarks which they termed it to be condemnable.
Talking to the Media Persons, Protestors said they staged protest because we have one parochial mindset BDC Chairmen Arun Kumar Sharma who stoked controversy for himself as he used casteist remarks (Chamar) against us due to which our sentiments are being hurt badly. It’ is very important to remember that when we talk of sarpanches, panches etc they are elected by the masses and if they used casteist remarks how intriguing and baffling it looks then, the protestors asked.
“In the purported audio clip shared by a news portal, BDC Chairmen heard saying that DC chamar hai, ADC Chamar hai and they have done stink all over the Rajouri district” protestors who raised a banner of revolt against the BDC member said, “we urge the district administration to terminate the BDC Chairmen forth with so that later such type of remarks none dared to utter the same rather it should be acts as a deterrent for the others so that such type of individuals should not elected to these posts.” The protestors were seeking the intervention of district administration by making passionate and sympathetic appeal to terminate this BDC Chairmen who ignite the fire.
Protestors further said “If today BDC Chairmen Sunderbani used the casteist remarks so tomorrow it could be anyone else and after a long time we hindus have United for a genuine cause as we are being targeted that on the name of dalit, Hindu as if we are not part of this Society.”
Youth’s protestors minced no words in saying to PM Narendra Modi if there occurs division on the basis of caste then the day is not far away when dalit name would become thing of the past meaning there by that the dalit caste would be ended it means from the society. Another protestor who is septuagenarian demanded that BDC Chairmen Sunderbani be suspended immediately as he used Unparliamentary language against the DC Rajouri, SSP Rajouri, ADC etc other officers as the video of the Arun Sharma has gone viral on social media.
He also urged the district administration to inquire the video which went viral on social media and demanded the culprit to be punished. Protestors warned the administration if they not arrested the BDC Chairmen within 24 hours then would block the NH and staged protests on all routes coupled with intensify our protest if BDC Chairmen not arrested, they vehemently said. Talking to the media persons, Advocate said the derogatory remarks used by the BDC Chairmen is really uncalled for and quick to add that it can’t be tolerated at any cost,” he said amidst chanting slogans against the BDC Chairmen and protestors also burnt the tyres in protest against the BDC Chairmen.
He further said the derogatory remarks used by the Arun Kumar Sharma attract Section 3 (X) of SC/ ST prevention and atrocities act 1983 as such we demand immediately FIR should be lodged against him. Even Anticipatory bail also can’t be granted in this offence as HC of Kerala already rejected the anticipatory bail of one your tuber who makes use of casteist remarks against one women of ST community in an interview on a channel.
